Game Day Slow Cooker Recipes Chicken Wings

No need to spend all day in the kitchen. These easy Football Logo Slow Cooker recipes lets you set it and forget it until its time to eat. Wings are a crowd pleaser and are hard to beat on game day. These game day slow cooker recipes are amazing however you may need a couple of cool slow cookers to satisfy your amazing guests.

Chicken Wings

First up – Slow Cooker Maple Bourbon Wings

These amazing sweet, salty and savory wings are the perfect game day food that will satisfy all your guests

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds of yummy chicken wings

4 tablespoons of butter. Unsalted if you can

1 clove of garlic. Use a garlic press or finely chop

1 small onion. Finely chopped

1/2 cups of ketchup

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

2 cups of maple syrup. Any brand works well

2 cups of your favorite bourbon

Salt and pepper

Put it together

In a saucepan melt butter over medium heat, add onion and garlic, cook until onion and garlic are translucent, around 2 minutes. Do not over cook. Add the syrup and your favorite bourbon, soy sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper and cook until it reaches a boil. Should take about 10 minutes to thicken.

Set aside a cup and a half of the sauce for dipping.

Wash the wings and place them in a mixing bowl then pour the remaining sauce over the wings and toss to coat. Place the wings into the slow cooker, cover and turn it on. That’s how easy this is. High for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs or Low for 3 1/2 to 4 hrs.

For crispy wings heat broiler place wings on cooking sheet with aluminum foil and set them in the broiler for 10 to 15 minutes. Brushing with some of the remaining dipping sauce optional.

Remove the wings. Get out the napkins. Place the remaining sauce in a dipping cup and serve
with your favorite bourbon!

Serves 8 to 10

Next Up – Parmesan Garlic Wings

Who doesn’t like garlic and Parmesan? These wings are fantastic and really hit the spot

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds of chicken wings

1/2 of a stick of butter, melted

2 tablespoons dried parsley

3 cloves of minced garlic. You can use a garlic press too

2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper

Put it all together

In a large mixing bowl wash and place chicken wings, mix in butter, garlic, parsley and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese

Add salt and pepper to taste and toss to coat. Toss wings in slow cooker and cover

Cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs or low for 3 1/2 to 4 hrs

For crispy wings heat broiler, line a baking sheet with foil and place wings on the sheet. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on them and broil for about 5 minutes

Serve with some ranch dressing and your favorite beer, enjoy!

Batting Third -Tequila Margarita Wings

Ingredients

1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice

1 cup of your favorite tequila

3 tablespoons of sugar

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons of sea salt

1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. More if you like it hot

2 1/2 pounds of chicken wings

Putting it all together

Wash your wings and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add the lime juice, sugar, honey olive oil, salt, pepper and pepper flakes. Toss the wings to coat completely and put them in the slow cooker

Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs or on low for 3 1/2 to 4 hrs

For crispy wings heat the broiler and place the wings on a baking sheet with foil and let them crisp for about 5 minutes

Serve them with your favorite beer and enjoy!
