Game Day Slow Cooker Recipes

These are a few of my favorite game day slow cooker recipes. I think it is way more fun if they are prepared in an NFL team crock pot or slow cooker. Check out how you can get your Football Logo Slow Cookers here.

Football logo slow cookersWho doesn’t like wings? Here are a  few that are easy and delicious.

Slow Cooker Buffalo / Ranch Chicken Wings. Always a crowd favorite for game day.
Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

2 lb. chicken wings
1 c. buffalo wing sauce. I like Frank’s Red Hot buffalo wing sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder. If you want to kick it up a notch
1 teaspoon garlic powder. I like garlic some people don’t
1 packet Ranch seasoning. Just adds good flavor
kosher salt. Or just salt
Freshly ground black pepper. Pepper goes on everything
Fresh chives, for serving. Skip this if you’re not a fan
Ranch dressing, for serving. Gotta have a good ranch
Favorite beer. I like a pilsner but lets face it folks any beer will do
Extra napkins

Here is how you put it together

In a large bowl combine the buffalo sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix it up well and add the wings, coat all the chicken and dump the entire thing into your slow cooker. Turn your football slow cooker to high and cook for 2 ½ to 3 hours or low for 4 to 6. When those delicious wings are done put them on a baking sheet (I like to line with aluminum foil) heat up your broiler and slide the wings in for about 5 minutes or until they get crispy.

Take them out of the broiler and garnish with chive, serve with ranch dressing and your favorite beer.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Bourbon Chicken Wings
Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings
2 cups barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade), plus more for serving
3 tbsp. Bourbon. Use more if you want, I do
Crushed red pepper. Just use as much as you think your guests can take
Kosher salt. Regular salt works just fine.

Freshly ground black pepper
Your favorite beer. Lets face it any type of beer goes with bbq

Here is how you put it together

In a large bowl add barbecue sauce, bourbon, crushed pepper, salt and pepper and mix well. Add the chicken wings and coat well then chuck the entire mixture into you football logo slow cooker and set to high and cook for 2 ½ to 3 hours, or low for 4 to 6. When the chicken is done put them on a baking sheet ( I like to line with aluminum foil) heat up the broiler and put the wings in for about 5 minutes or until they get crispy.

Take them out of the broiler and garnish with chive, serve with a side of bbg dipping sauce, I like ranch too, and like always your favorite beer.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Wings. You can make your own sauce or buy your favorite at the store. Serves 4 to 5, I would suggest doubling the recipe for a larger crowd.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken wings
I seriously skip this entire process and get some good teriyaki from the store
⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
3 tbsp water
3 tbsp organic honey
1 tbsp ginger, minced
½ tsp sesame seeds (optional)
½ tsp cornstarch + ½ tsp water (optional)
Favorite beer
Extra napkins

Here is how you put it together

In a large bowl add soy sauce, garlic, rice wine vinegar, water, honey, sesame seeds, and cornstarch.  Mix well and toss in the wings, coat the wings and pour the entire bowl in your amazing football logo slow cooker.  Cook on high for 2 ½  to 3 hrs or on low for 4 to 6. When those delicious wings are done put them on a baking sheet, (I like to line with aluminum foil) heat up your broiler and slide the wings in for about 5 minutes or until they get crispy.

Take them out of the broiler and garnish with chive, serve with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce and of course your favorite beer.
